In Sports on January 31, 2009 at 7:24 pm

bubba-diggIf you are looking for long-term security as a coach of a sports team, I would stay clear of professional football—at any level.

The South Carolina Force fired, Bubba Diggs, after coaching only one game. The Force plays in the American Indoor Football Association and lost his gig after he team lost its minor league game to Fayetteville 38-19.

Digg was a tight end on the University of Clemson 1981 National Championship Team; he had been coaching in the league with the Augusta Colts for four seasons prior to taking the Force job.

Bio-Reference Laboratories Inc., a company that serves doctor and hospitals, fired sales executive John Littleton for allegedly falsifying expense reports while recruiting new hires for the company.

bioreferenceMr. Littleton’s poor record keeping and inability to hide his under-handedness cost him to lose his stock options and a few other trinkets.

On top of that, he had to reimburse $1.6 million in recruitment fees and expenses that he billed the company while violating his agreement with Bio-Reference.

Bio-Reference really sucked the blood out Mr. Littleton while he was clearing out his desk.
